Finance Director

Portia Mbembele is a financial director with wide-ranging experience in audit execution, risk assessment, design, substantive detailed and analytical review procedures, as well as performing final analytical reviews on audited Annual Financial Statements (AFS).

She began her professional career at PWC Johannesburg, South Africa as a trainee accountant in 2006 and subsequently worked as a tax consultant upon completion of her articles. She joined FNB Johannesburg, South Africa, in 2010, initially as a senior financial manager, and progressed to the executive team as head of accounts payable.In March 2017, she joined the Pro-Serve Group as the Financial Director with a clear vision and mandate to ensure that the company is compliant with all applicable laws. Her attention to detail and analytical skills has improved business processes and decisions through trend and data analysis using competitive intelligence systems, providing accurate forecasts and detailed management and financial reports. Her other responsibilities include overseeing the day to day financial operations, ensuring appropriate policies and procedures are followed and deadlines are met for all reporting (including statutory, management, and regulatory reporting).
